How to upgrade your theme to WordPress 2.7
There is new codex entry for theme authors specifically, check out Migrating themes to 2.7 and also read otto’s post regarding WP 2.7 comment paging and threading.
At last somebody notice the microID, I have implement microID in WP-iStalker themes since the first release this methods are good for comparing genuine user with fake one.

WordPress 2.7 new Publish Module
Check out this nice video published by Mark Jaquith. The new UI for publish module looks much polish and colors-wise than earlier 2.7h build version.
Watching this video makes me wonder why the delete links were places on bottom left side of the publish box (2.6 is on far right). Arguably there is 20% chances [...]

Error has been made
The “404 page not found” shouldn’t be so depressing so I rebuild WP-iStalker 1.6.2 404 page. It now has a Google Webmaster 404 widget customize to your locale language setting and it will also trigger ‘prefeching’ content (base on the request link and google fixURL suggestion).
Try get yourself lost around here. ^D

Global translator plugin
This was tested on WordPress 2.6.x, “Global translator” (v 1.0.7.1) plugin settings page doesn’t load or broken. If you are having similar problem you might want to try this workaround.
Open the plugin file global-translator/translator.php
find on line 1032
function gltr_add_options_page() {
$path = dirname(__file__);
$pos = strrpos($path, '/') + 1;
$option_file = substr($path, $pos) . '/options-translator.php';
add_options_page('Global [...]

- Animator vs Animation

An animator faces his own animation in deadly combat. The battlefield? The Flash interface itself.
A stick figure is created by an animator with the intent to torture. The stick figure drawn by the animator will be using everything he can find - the brush tool, the eraser tool - to get back at his tormentor. It's resourcefulness versus power. Who will win? You can find out yourself.

WordPress 2.7 Admin Dashboard
The would be WordPress 2.7 (Nov 2008) Admin dashboard is really sort of out of places & visually cluttered. To minimize the numbers of clicking, WP frontend developer decided to pile all the possible links, buttons, quick post form, 19 javascripts, 6 stylesheets, at the first admin dashboard (almost all the functionality is ajaxified). Check [...]

Cloaking Stylesheet
There is heated debate in WordPress mailing list ( [wp-hackers] WP Theme Directory Submission Restrictions ). Its very petty issue regarding “link and import CSS” and new guideline for theme submission.
Frankly, I don’t have much opinion regarding this matters as Its kind of trivial making point with a programmer.
Trying to sort thing out I tested [...]

- RFC 2324 Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol HTCPCP/1.0

2.1.1 The BREW method, and the use of POST
Commands to control a coffee pot are sent from client to coffee
server using either the BREW or POST method, and a message body with
Content-Type set to "application/coffee-pot-command".
A coffee pot server MUST accept both the BREW and POST method
equivalently. However, the use of POST for causing actions to happen
is deprecated.
Coffee pots heat water using electronic mechanisms, so there is no
fire. Thus, no firewalls are necessary, and firewall control policy
is irrelevant. However, POST may be a trademark for coffee, and so
the BREW method has been added. The BREW method may be used with
other HTTP-based protocols (e.g., the Hyper Text Brewery Control
Protocol).

- Shakespeare RFC 1605 SONET to Sonnet Translation

Abstract
Because Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) transmits data in frames
of bytes, it is fairly easy to envision ways to compress SONET frames
to yield higher bandwidth over a given fiber optic link. This memo
describes a particular method, SONET Over Novel English Translation
(SONNET).

- CPU History - Computers and CPUs in Space

Many CPUs have been used in space craft, space stations and other such probes.
Such CPUs must be highly reliable, and very durable. The temperatures in space, even
with heaters, can vary widely. The radiation that a system is exposed too can be immense.
So when designing one of these systems designers don't always use the latest and greatest
microprocessor. They use a chip that has been tried and tested. That they KNOW will work.
